3 Rivers Canoes was founded in 1998 by Cecil "Bud" Heidelbaugh . The Company was based in Loma Montana and began operations with canoe rentals only. By the end of the 2001 season, Bud had begun including outfitted and guided river trips, vehicle shuttle services, and canoe sales. Bud passed away unexpectedly on January 29th, 2002. The Company is now owned by Dale and Calvin Hankins. They have maintained all the canoeing services originally established by Bud except the canoe sales. In addition, they have added a One Day White Cliffs Tour by canoe and ground tours of the area by vehicle. They are both natives of Fort Benton and have lifetime experiences guiding and enjoying other outdoor activities.
