FLOAT THE UPPER WILD AND SCENIC MISSOURI RIVER IN MONTANA WITH 3 RIVERS CANOES

When you make a canoe trip with 3 Rivers Canoes, you will view some of the most spectacular scenery in the world on the famous Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River. Much of this area remains the same as it was when first viewed by Lewis and Clark 1805 .

You have numerous options for your family vacation or outdoor summer recreation, including Outfitted and  Guided river trips, canoe and equipment rentals, and vehicle shuttling.  Pre-designed trips are available or design a trip to fit your desires and needs. Canoeing the Upper Missouri River is a wonderful option for your  summer getaway.

Offices are located in Fort Benton and Loma Montana as many  trips originate from these locations. Other possible launch sites include Woods Bottom, Virgelle Ferry, Coal Banks Landing, Pilot Rock, Hole-In-The-Wall, Stoos Bottom, Slaughter River, Judith Landing, Stafford Ferry, Wood Hawk, and Kipp Park.

Fort Benton Montana is the Gateway to the 149 mile Wild and Scenic Missouri River. Loma is a mile from the confluence of the Marias and Missouri Rivers (at river mile 21 Left) where the Lewis and Clark Expedition spent 10 days in 1805, and is now called "Decision Point". Great Falls is less than an hours drive from both locations.

In addition to the Wild and Scenic portion of the Upper Missouri River, you might consider a one day canoe trip from Carter Ferry to Fort Benton. This stretch of the river is between the Great Falls of the Missouri and Fort Benton.

Our trips are loaded with  hiking adventures, wilderness exploring, scenic photography, historic sites and interpretation, outdoor cooking, canoeing, relaxing, wildlife and bird viewing, native American artifacts and petroplyphs, geology and archeological interpretation. These trips are fun and educational no matter what your interests might be.
